MG ZS EV – The internet Electric SUV by Morris Garages is the first connected Electric SUV in India.
Morris Garages entered the Indian automobile market in 2017 and since then it has made a great presence in the market. With the great number of sales of the MG Hector, the first car that they introduced to India.
After gaining success with the MG Hector, MG dived into the electric vehicle market and introduced their advanced electric car – the MG ZS EV, an electric compact SUV!
The MG ZS EV is an electric Compact SUV as the name suggests. It is a very stylish looking car, thanks to its sleek design. The front of the car houses the sleek projector automatic adjusting London-eye inspired headlamps with DRL system and the chrome surrounded concave grille which makes the ZS EV even more appealing with the breathable Glowing MG logo, which glows when the car is charging and stops when it is fully charged, now that’s interesting.
The side profile of the MG ZS EV looks very sharp with the cuts and covering the whole side and roof rails. Moreover, it also features a heated body painted power adjusting ORVMs and futuristic-looking R17 windmill styled alloy wheels along with masculine wheel-arches. The rear of the car houses the stylish racing led tail-lights.
The cabin looks subtle with silver detailing over the leather-covered dash and the AC vents along with some silver surround the instrument cluster and the steering wheel.
MG ZS EV boasts analog styled instrument clusters with a digital display inside and a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel along with leather on the door trims. The center console houses an 8-inch multi-information touchscreen display.
The seats are very blacked out and very comfortable with the driver’s seat receiving height adjustments and leather armrest with storage. The rear seats are 60:40 split and also pretty comfortable with a decent amount of space on offer for the comfort of the passengers. The ZS EV also has 470 liters of boot space capacity to carry everything essential for longer trips.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The MG ZS EV is powered by a 44.5kW Lithium-ion battery producing a peak power of 141HP and 353Nm of torque along with a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor with an automatic transmission system with 3 driving modes on offer. These in combination helps in achieving the 0-100km/h in a mere 8.3 seconds and a certified range of 340 kms on a single charge.
